DetailsThis is an all cedar bird house constructed for the following species of birds; Chickadees, Juniper, Black-crested/Oak/Tufted and Bridled Titmice, Nuthatches and Lucy's Warbler. The house measures, 5 1/2 inches wide, 11 inches tall and 5 inches deep. It weighs about three pounds and has a screw in the back that is marked for removal when cleaning. The left side lifts from the bottom for easily cleaning in the fall. The bird house takes about 8 man hours to create, with all hand cutting, sanding, drilling, gluing and piece assembly.
We have a veteran in store that has spent much time researching and exploring the pros and cons of feeders and especially bird houses. We will be adding birdhouses as they are completed, the first being a purple martin house. All of our houses will be built with guidelines from Cornell Labs and will be the most nesting friendly for each breed of bird. Your purchase of a feeder or birdhouse will also provide a portion of the sale be donated to Cornell Lab of Ornithology. We will include information on where to place in your yard and the do's and don'ts of successful bird hosting. We will also have ornamental bird houses but they will be marked as such so the buyer will know that no birds may or may not nest there. -

Purchased for my best friend as a present. She’s recently been excited to feed her neighborhood birds, and I thought I’d help push her to the next logical step - giving her kiddos a chance to watch nesting activity. The birdhouse is well made, and I got fast customer service when I reached out for assistance placing it in the yard (and when my Etsy review errored out!) Would purchase from this shop again, and it was a purchase I felt good about!
