Wren Bird House

This is a red cedar bird house that includes the following species; Wren, Lucy's Warblers, Brown-headed Nuthatches and Pygmy Nuthatches. It is all natural and contains no treated or painted wood in the nesting area or opening. For a true nesting house, birds are very sensitive to smells including stain and most paints(especially oil based). It measures 11 inches high, 5 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches deep. It contains a screw on the back that allows for cleaning at the end of the season. It is ready for the season and should be mounted in the yard near trees. This house takes about 10 man hours to create.

We have a veteran in store that has spent much time researching and exploring the pros and cons of feeders and especially bird houses. We will be adding birdhouses as they are completed, the first being a purple martin house. All of our houses will be built with guidelines from Cornell Labs and will be the most nesting friendly for each breed of bird. Your purchase of a feeder or birdhouse will also provide a portion of the sale be donated to Cornell Lab of Ornithology. We will include information on where to place in your yard and the do's and don'ts of successful bird hosting. We will also ornamental bird houses but they will be marked as such so the buyer will know that birds may or may not nest there
